$100k Challenge applicants must presently demonstrate steady growth – a gross revenue increase of 10% or more per year. $10k applicants are not required to show this level of growth but are required to explain how their idea will strengthen their business. We recommend that you attend one of the many office hours held or reach out to an Ambassador for an individual conversation regarding your situation. They can further help you assess.

Your personal residency is not an issue; where your business is located is our interest. Per the NEIdeas Program Guidelines, "Both the $10k Challenge and $100k Challenge are for existing for-profit businesses physically located in the cities of Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park. . . If a business has moved to Detroit, Hamtramck, or Highland Park from elsewhere, NEIdeas requires at least one year in those locations before being eligible to apply."
